YOUR cleaning products need to keep up with new trends in kitchen surfaces. If you're replacing your old arborite counters with granite or marble, or enamel appliances with stainless steel, then upgrade your cleaners, too. Look for either a multi-purpose product that mentions your surface on the label or a specialty product that focuses on just one material, such as stainless steel.
Watch for new products to appear as new surfaces become mass-market available. Now on the market, among others, is Fantastik OxyPower Multi-Purpose Cleaner. It cleans microwaves, stainless steel, chrome, sinks, ceramic tile and glass as well as carpet, fabric and upholstery.
Another general cleanser, Pledge Multi-Surface Clean and Dust spray, is safe for wood, glass, stainless steel, electronics, sealed marble and granite, and promises no waxy build-up.
